In 1988, the Brady clan reunited for the holidays. The made-for-TV movie was more successful than anyone predicted. A Very Brady Christmas first aired Sunday, December 18, 1988 on CBS and was the highest rated TV movie of the past two years. The success of A Very Brady Christmas prompted a new television series: The Bradys. However the new series wasn't able to capture the same spirit and success of the TV special that inspired it, and was soon cancelled.
