Hammer is best known for dominating the horror film market in the sixties and seventies. The British studio famously put it's own spin on classic characters such as Frankenstein, Dracula and The Mummy while turning the likes of Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee and David Prowse into film stars. George Lucas is one of Hammer's most notable fans, and he later cast all three actors in the original Star Wars trilogy.
