Robertson’s Candy, established in 1928 in Truro, Nova Scotia, has created its iconic hard candy in Canada for nearly 100 years. Their "barley toys" (also known as clear toys or animal candy) have become a Christmas-time candy tradition in Atlantic Canada. The company still uses its traditional recipes and methods and holds one of the world’s largest collections of candy molds.
